Tool Shed with a Difference
Our tool shed is unique, quirky, eccentric and useful. It cost relatively nothing as it is made entirely from recycled materials begged, borrowed and donated by allotment holders, friends and students. Time and creative juices were our chief inputs, as we endeavored to rethink uses for the materials gathered.
The criteria were that it had to fit our allotment tools, provide shelter from the weather, while being aesthetically pleasing and represent our re-use, upcycle and repurpose ethos.
We would like to highlight the opportunities available at Dot’s Plots where we would like to create a unique hub offering allotment space coupled with indoor/outdoor serviced facilities ideally suited for the provision of a range of courses/workshops.
Dot’s Plots hopes to establish itself as a community-based sanctuary and learning centre by hosting interested groups and organisations that can utilise the space for training and/or rehabilitation in a safe, therapeutic, green and sustainable environment.
Our ethos is simple. We are open to everyone, individuals or groups who wish to become involved in our goal to achieve organic status and create a welcoming, educational and ecological haven. Recycling, repurposing, sustainability, communal inclusivity and eco-friendly practices are key.
