Following on from the success of the project over the past five years, we are delighted to advise that this year’s competition will take place again this year albeit with a difference due to COVID 19 restrictions.
The project will focus on the theme ‘Positive mental health is…..’ and applications will be open to young people across County Wexford between 15 & 18 years of age (minimum of 3 students per team).
The idea is that students would express their opinions and views on what they think positive mental health is, by creative writing, artwork, drama, poetry, etc. They will submit their piece and it will be reviewed by a judging panel. The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 4th December. If a large number of applications are received, they will be reviewed by a judging panel and 5 will be shortlisted. Students will be notified on Tuesday 8th December whether or not their submission has been shortlisted. The students from the five shortlisted applications must be available to take a zoom call on Friday 11th December between 9.30am and 12.00pm. The winners of the competition will be announced at 5.00pm on Friday 11th December. The three winning entries will be uploaded to our website and social media outlets.
We would hope that your group would like to get involved in this great event. We also would like to remind each entrant, to use their own discretion in relation to COVID 19 public health guidelines.
