Now that the lockdown restrictions have eased, we look forward to the advent of Spring, longer days and warmer weather which promised to arrive around the corner! Our Winter Wellbeing Challenge for Feel Good February is Get Creative! February is upon us, it’s time to turn our thoughts to the next challenge in our winter Wellbeing Campaign. So far we taken on the challenges of Eat Well in September, Stay Active in October, Sleep Well in November, Connect with Others in December and Begin Doing in January. And we have learned and hopefully put into practice the many tips and words of advice during these months to help us to stay healthy in all aspects of our lives.
The Top Tips for Feel Good February come from the very creative and gifted musician Emily Redmond. Getting creative and taking on a challenge for February from one or more of Emily’s Top Tips will provide many hours and days of fun and entertainment. Engaging in one or more of the Top Tips can also improve our mental health. Becoming more involved in new and creative hobbies and activities can help us to realise that we can cope with and overcome the challenges that life puts in our path. We can also learn to enrich our lives by engaging in new and exciting activities and adventures!
There is much research that links creative activities with increased confidence, creativity helps to combat ageing, it enhances positive mood and provides us with a feel good sensation, helping us to be more involved in life and more resilient.
