We at Wexford MHA are really excited to launch our fun wellness campaign!
Through the months from September to June, we will be posting videos, tips and all sorts of fun ideas to encourage us all to keep ourselves well!
Today we want to introduce you, once again, to our 8 wellness stepping stones. They are: Eat Well, Stay Active, Sleep Well, Connect With Others, Begin Doing, Get Creative, Fresh Air and Switch Off and Relax.
We all know that ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup’ and we are going to use this image as the basis for our new wellness promotional campaign to show why self-care is vital and we will suggest easy and practical ways to improve it. Each month we will add a new wellness area to our personal cups and see them gradually fill up over the 8 months, building layers of wellness tools into our cups until we are all brimming full!
The first Wednesday of each month will be ‘Wellness Wednesday’, when we will post the wellness area we are targeting for the next month, so be sure to watch this space!
We will also feature on Alan Corcoran’s show on the first Friday of each month to promote the wellness area of the month and give tips and support!
The local papers will also feature our wellness tips and ideas to help us to stay well.
Each month we will ask you to take on a self-challenge, choose something from our suggestions for that month and then challenge yourself to change your behaviour. For example, in September we’re going to focus on Eat Well, so the challenge is to take a suggestion from our list (or come up with your own personal suggestion) and change your behaviour to a more healthy option for the month-hopefully you will continue to practice this behaviour and will fill up your wellness cup!
Watch out for all our updates and get ready to take on a fun and exciting self-challenge each month!
We would like to ask you to consider donating to us, as you take on the monthly self-challenge, so that we can continue to promote wellness, thereby keeping our cups all full and healthy!
You can donate to us via the donate button in our website.
We are also in the process of setting up our text to donate facility. We’ll let you know as soon as this is up and running!
